A-1 Institute

In order to accomplish its visionary pursuits and to implement its objectives, ASG has an already established Institute – A-1, Institute of Facility Management which is successfully functioning in Mumbai since 2007. It imparts training in highly demand driven trades in Facility Management.

Through the current program, it would train youth in highly demand driven trades in order to develop their skills for employability. They are engaged on jobs after their training. The purpose is also to give them a sort of self-confidence and satisfaction, and to help them prove themselves effective social change champions in their practical life.

Special Project under SGSY

ASG-SGSY special project provides for imparting job-oriented training to 7860 BPL youths from various districts of Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

The SGSY project being implemented by ASG is primarily focused on development of BPL youth from rural India while inculcating among them the requisite skills for employability and financial assistance by way of hand holding to help them establish. A unique feature of the program is that besides d training, we place the trained youth in employment. They remain under consistent supervision and guidance of the ASG. Our training modules assist many socially-excluded young people immensely, in transforming them from valueless to valuable. This is a unique and innovative idea of providing structural employment opportunities to the youth with bringing about consequential impact of poverty reduction in the poverty hit areas at grass roots level.

Specific Objectives of the project are

Mobilize & Identify

To mobilize and identify BPL youth between the age group of 18-35 years who are in need of employment.

Training

To provide job oriented training in different trades pertaining to facility management and make them employable.

Placement

Training to be followed by job placement and suitable employment to the trained manpower.

Women Participation

To ensure maximum participation of women.

Beneficiaries

To ensure that at least 25 per cent of the beneficiaries are from backward categories.

Support

To provide support and hand holding to the placed beneficiaries for at least one year after placement ensuring their retention in jobs.
